So, my family has known for awhile that my brother, sister, and I have all inherited Factor V Leiden from our dad.  About 5% of Americans have this gene, and having it means that you have a higher risk of "throwing" a blood clot.

I would have had some photos of our new place up earlier today, but I spent most of last night writhing in pain.  It started yesterday afternoon, when I took my thrice weekly dose of interferon and then settled in to the couch with a book.

Dave and I closed on our condo this morning!  There were about 100 pages of legal and financial documents that had to be signed.  We officially move in on Saturday, but we'll bring some boxes (and laundry) by before then.  Pictures

Hillary Clinton visited my hometown yesterday.  The cool part is not that she visited, but that because of her visit, I heard, "Oelwein, Iowa," on NPR this morning.
